Dixie Reckless

The story & the sound

Music, laughter and reckless fun.

Dixie Reckless is the stage name of Denise Jernigan, an American-born lyricist and songwriter now living in the UK.

With a love for all genres of music, Dixie enjoys experimenting with different sounds, from country and rock to pop, folk, blues and everything in between. Her real passion is comedy songs—turning everyday madness, cheeky ideas and life’s funny moments into lyrics that make people laugh.

When she’s not writing songs, Dixie loves the rustic life and being outdoors, finding inspiration in nature, countryside adventures and the simple things in life.
